**Detailed job description and main responsibilities**:
You will be joining a friendly team to provide an excellent and comprehensive Paediatric and Adolescent Service within UCL Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The service was recently highly commended by the Healthy London Partnership following peer review. This post is equivalent to other general paediatric registrars including long day on-call and night shifts. Alongside work in General/Adolescent medicine, there are opportunities to develop skills and gain experience in paediatric allergy, asthma, infectious diseases, haemoglobinopathy and epilepsy, in addition to participating in clinical research and quality improvement. A weekly attending system for General paediatrics is in operation and all junior doctors are closely supervised and supported.

- GMC full registration
- MRCPCH or equivalent
- APLS or equivalent
- Evidence of commitment to paediatrics as a career
**Desirable criteria**:
- Medical education qualification
**Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:
- Middle grade experience in General Paediatrics
- Broad experience at SHO level in paediatric in a range of specialities both inpatient and outpatient Experience of acute paediatric and ED
**Desirable criteria**:
- Experience and commitment in education and training.
- Evidence of training in teaching and education.
**Skills, Abilities & Knowledge**:

- Ability to manage common acute and chronic paediatric disorders.
- Good practical skills
- Ability to teach and train junior staff
- Able to communicate well in verbal and written English
