Due to an internal move, we are looking for a Finance Business Partner - Central Overheads to join our Accounting & Financial Control team in a Group role.
**Your responsibilities day to day will be**
- Partner across various functions within the Group to support budget holders in strategic decision-making and proactively engage in projects with stakeholders that create business value.
- Production of a quality monthly financial reporting pack, including full cost centre reporting and detailed balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with the Group timetable
- Manage and develop a team of 2 trainee management accountants to deliver high quality performance.
- Ensuring a quality year end audit pack is delivered to the auditors at the end of the financial year.
- Develop relationships with key business stakeholders and deliver commercial insight to enable these stakeholders to improve performance.
- You will be a champion of finance processes and systems providing proactive assistance, support and guidance to the team, to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies and adherence to Group policy
- Support the senior finance management team with ad hoc projects
**What do we expect of you?**
- Well progressed with exams or qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA accountant
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team management experience highly desirable but not essential
- Experience of interacting across all levels of the organisation including dealing with non-finance people to gather relevant information.
- Experience of fostering strong working relationships within the finance team and across the organisation.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Show an impressive attitude and not only take full responsibility for their duties but are enthusiastic to take on new challenges which will develop their own career.
