Job description

The Policy and Research Officer sits within and works across Ubele’s Community Wealth Building hub. Community Wealth Building is one of Ubele’s four strategic hubs, with the aim of strengthening our communities through the development of assets and enterprise. The Policy and Research Officer will work directly with the Director for Community Wealth Building, other members of the Senior Leadership Team and wider colleagues to initiate and manage research projects and feed into the Community Wealth Building policy agenda.

Key responsibilities of the Policy and Research Officer:

- Develop research briefs and proposals.
- Gather and analyse data and information.
- Carry out consultations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Keep up to date with social, political, and economic developments in relation to Community Wealth Building and community assets, providing briefings and presentations to senior leadership, wider colleagues and partners as necessary.
- Support and coordinate meetings, conferences and debates.
- Write briefings, reports and speeches.
- Assess the potential impact of policy decisions and communicate changes to the wider community.
- Write and monitor communications to ensure consistency and accuracy.
