Carriera has partnered with a multi-disciplinary consultancy specialising in surveying, engineering, project management, and fire safety services throughout the UK. Our client is seeking a talented and ambitious CDM/ Principal Designer to join their team of construction professionals and establish the new department.

Our client is one of the leading firms dealing with high-risk buildings in residential, mixed use, university and college sectors, including student accommodation. Initially, the focus of this role will be on developing the new service offering and working with the existing clients and delivering CDM/ PD services.

The role would suit an experienced CDM professional at a senior level who is looking to take the next step in their career and grow and develop a new division for a well established building consultancy.

**Responsibilities**
- Offer a variety of health & safety services to a diverse client base.
- Ensure that all sites are CDM compliant, and the relevant documentation is in place and in date.
- Familiar with all associated documentation relating to CDM 2015 e.g CPP's, DRR's, PCI's, H&S file etc.
- Recruit and develop a team of CDM professionals.
- Growth of CDM service line and management of key clients.
- Strong commercial experience e.g department P&L, tendering, forecasting, invoicing etc.
- Carrying out investigations into all accidents/ incidents, fires and dangerous occurrences.
- Demonstrate a good knowledge of H&S, including CDM and Environmental legislation.
- Carryout site safety inspections and site safety audits.

**About you**
- NEBOSH General or Construction (minimum).
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable).
- Member to IOSH or APS (desirable).
- Understanding of the Building Safety Act.
- Excellent working knowledge of 2015 CDM Regulations.
- Full UK Driving license.
- Commercially minded.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
