Project Leader

**Closing Date**: **The Opportunity**: - We are looking for talented, enthusiastic Project Leader with expertise in managing customer repairs, spares and troubleshooting issues, to join us at Crewe Toll, Edinburgh as part of the CS3 Tornado team.This Project Leader role sits within the Customer Service Support Solutions (CS3) Line of Business (LoB); which falls within the wider Leonardo Electronics UK Business Unit. The CS3 LoB provides product and service support to the wide ranging Leonardo customer basisA Project Leader is required to provide project management and leadership to support the successful delivery of multiple support contracts projects associated with the Tornado product range. These span UK MoD / international support contracts through internal delivery projects.- This role will report to the CS3 Edinburgh Project Manager responsible to the Lead Project Manager Tornado in the Fast Jet business area of CS3.**What you will do**: - Manage applicable contracts/projects to time, cost, quality Health & Safety and technical compliance through the IPT (Integrated Project Team / cross-functional team). Manage and demonstrate improved delivery of such contracts/projects, to stabilise and improve financial performance against the baseline targets. - Ensure adherence to Leonardo’s Lifecycle Management (LCM), as appropriate and tailored to suit project requirements. - Proactively monitor cost and schedule progress and lead the team effectively through planning, allocation and reporting of work to the Lead Project Manager, Programme Manager and other stakeholders in order to ensure successful delivery of the project and its objectives - Anticipate, mitigate and manage dependencies, risks and synergies in support of increased business performance. - Build and maintain strong working relationships with multiple functions and customers in order to influence support and deliver project activities. - Direct point of contact with demanding Customers to execute the support required in a professional and courteous manner and deliver against contractual requirements. - Ensure the contracts/projects are organised and integrated as efficiently as possible to ensure a firm, understood and mutually agreed set up. - Generate & present communications / reporting on the programme as accurate and effectively as possible to both internal and external customers. **What we are looking for**: - Proven experience in successfully delivering support projects and contracts - Pro-active with a "can do" attitude, striving for continuous improvement, effectiveness and efficiency and with a focus on achieving high performance against objectives - Detailed understanding of Project Reporting and financial controls - Working knowledge of Life Cycle Management, Risk Management and Project Execution tools and techniques - Proven experience of working closely with Export Customers as the main Point of Contact. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally - Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise workload and to work autonomously - Flexible and adaptable to change and adversity - Excellent problem solving skills and initiative with the ability to think laterally - Demonstrated ability to integrate and communicate to multiple engineering and non-engineering functions which span different locations. **Life at Leonardo**: - Discover life at Leonardo - a company for extraordinary people**Our UK locations**: - We have offices around the UK, including Basildon, Bristol, Edinburgh, Lincoln, Luton, Southampton and Yeovil**Committed to Inclusion**: - We are committed to creating a working environment that is designed to provide everyone with the opportunity to succeed.
