The Trust is looking to appointSpecialist Clinicians in Hear and Treat (Clinical Advisors) to work in the Emergency Clinical Advice and Triage Centre (ECAT) in the Emergency Operations Centres in Bedford, Norwich and Chelmsford.

We are looking for full or part time permanent staff, for our permanent relief or ECAT Core Rotas.

Please note that during initial training period staff will be required to attend one of the Emergency Operation Centres in person to complete mandatory and statutory training for the role. Agile working (e.g. home working) may be possible once initial training and clinical supervision has successfully been completed.

Rota/Relief and Flexible working (Secondments/Dual Working available for internal staff, 6-9 months)

Recruitment and selection will include an assessment centre.

Excellent communication and listening skills are essential within this role. You will need to have good keyboard skills, be able to work autonomously or as a member of a team and effectively manage your time whilst under conflicting demands.

To take Clinical accountability for patients calling 999, working as an autonomous practitioner and provide high quality complex clinical triage using knowledge, skills, critical thinking and professional judgement supported by clinical assessment software.

To consult on caller symptoms to ensure the appropriate emergency response or referral to an alternative care pathway is made. To work with other external agencies to increase successful Heat & Treat outcomes.
