**Mailroom Operative (Temporary) - Tadworth, KT20**
- £11.44 to £12.44 an hour

We are currently seeking a diligent and reliable Mailroom Operative to join their team at our client's organisation on a temporary basis. As a Mailroom Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient mail and package distribution throughout the organisation.

**The role of Mailroom Operative**:

- Sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail and packages accurately and in a timely manner.
- Operating mailroom equipment, such as mail sorting machines, postage metres, and envelope sealers.
- Assisting with the organisation and storage of mailroom supplies and materials.
- Tracking and recording packages and maintaining accurate records using manual or electronic systems.
- Handling confidential and sensitive documents and ensuring they are delivered to the appropriate recipients securely.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth mailroom operations.
- Assisting with occasional office tasks, including photocopying, scanning, and filing documents.

**The ideal Mailroom Operative**:

- Previous experience in a mailroom or similar administrative role is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with mailroom equipment and software.
- Basic computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy packages when necessary.
