As part of our continued growth, we are now looking for a part time Materials Procurement Planner to join our friendly team. The role is a part time opportunity working approximately 20 hours a week, based over either four or five days. At naughtone we adopt a hybrid working model, meaning our teams embrace a mix of working from home and from our head office based in Knaresborough.

Working as part of a team of six, the procurement planner role is critical in ensuring components arrive to meet ever changing demands of the business and in our commitment to our customers to delivery on time and in full.

The role will be responsibility for daily, weekly & monthly planning and requisition of materials for a group of key suppliers. A varied, busy and demanding role that requires dexterity, you will be responsible for planning demands, raising purchase orders, monitoring confirmations and reporting on purchasing activities. Forging strong working relationships with suppliers will be a key element of the role to ensure delivery schedules are met.

The day to day responsibilities will include:
Raise purchase orders, according to production requirements & manage through to confirmation with supplier
- Accurate maintenance of purchase orders to ensure simple reconciliation to purchase invoices
- Monitoring of stock requirements to drive efficiencies for both naughtone and the suppliers
- Ensure product deadlines are met in line with agreed timescales
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate improved lead times.
- Identify root causes of supplier NCRs & and implement appropriate solutions with the Operations team
- Attend shortage meetings and manage short lead-time requests from the business through to the supplier
- Produce & distribute departmental reports relating to shortages and identify the cause of & rectify identified shortages to ensure an OTIF delivery to the customer
- Arrange and attend weekly supplier meetings to ensure OTIF deliveries.
- Maintenance of data in internal systems
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve any outstanding queries and issues, within agreed SLA
- Liaise with other colleagues across the Operations teams to resolve issues relating to deliveries are resolved within agreed timescales
