Oxford is currently undergoing one of the biggest building booms in its recent history in conjunction with rapid economic growth.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and organised person to join our Revenues team with the primary responsibilities for monitoring property changes within the city, providing a prompt and efficient property inspection service and accurately maintaining the property databases.

This will entail travelling within the Council’s boundary to visit both commercial and domestic properties and building sites to determine when new builds and alterations to properties are complete, to bring these into a rating in a timely manner so that the prompt collection of Business Rates and Council Tax is maximised and there is no loss of revenue for the Council. In conjunction with this you will also visit customers in their own home to assess eligibility for various discount and exemption awards and to reduce liability for those entitled to them.
