Green Spark Utility Services Ltd provide services on water sewerage and drainage infrastructure in the water industry and private sector. It has an advanced and extensive range of machinery, equipment, and experience for identifying potential issues and providing cost effective solutions from blocked drains to cleaning large diameter pipelines.
The CCTV Operator will be providing highly specialised surveys of underground infrastructure, as well as cleaning, handling, and uplift of hazardous liquid waste from drains and sewers. You'll need to be computer literate, have experience with Wincan and ideally a qualification in OS19X under MSCC 5 or 4.
You need to love working outdoors in all weather and you must be physically fit as the job involves some heavy lifting. This role requires an enthusiastic, reliable person who is keen to learn. Other requirements at Green Spark is to be enthusiastic, punctual, and polite and to have a flexible approach to your working day, to allow us to meet the needs of customers emergencies.
A full clean driving license is required. We will provide you with industry and in house training. The role will be primarily based out of our Team Valley depot, servicing contracts within the Northeast, so there may be a requirement to stay away from home on an infrequent basis.

Key Responsibilities
- Visiting sites to gain an understanding of the project

- Working in teams and on your own on various Wastewater/Water Treatment Works and associated infrastructure throughout various water authorities and associated companies.
- Complete work efficiently and on time to be able to complete complex work in challenging environments whilst following all codes of practice/ RAMS.
- Works to be carried out in accordance with health and safety to include provided RAMS documentation. The postholder holds full responsibility for reading and signing such documentation.
- Manual Handling, Carrying Suction Hose, cleaning up spillages and removing debris using brushes, shovels etc.
- Working on various Large Tanks, Wet Wells, Siphons, and other Wastewater assets when required.
- Cleaning of sewer and storm lines using a high-pressure unit or aiding with the Recycler team. Working with Surveyors on CCTV projects and assisting where necessary. Delivering equipment to site for large scale projects and assisting with de-mobilisation. Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to depot supervision, including but not limited to, vehicle daily checks, job tickets & timesheets. Ensuring your vehicle and equipment is kept clean and tidy and any defects are reported immediately.
- Ensuring a clean and tidy appearance as far as reasonably possible within the environment the post holder works in, wearing appropriate uniform and PPE where required (provided PPE must be maintained and any defects reported)
- Complete all relevant training required for the role, including but not limited to - CSCS & Confined Space.
