Reddish Hall School is an independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged from 5 to 18, catering for children with social emotional and mental health difficulties, with a high proportion of children who have a diagnosis of ASC. Our dedicated team work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.

**Job Purpose**

We have a deeply held conviction that every child can achieve and reach their potential, we are looking to appoint an additional Maths teacher who can continue to inspire and enthuse a love of learning in our students. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner and team player with the ability and resilience to adapt to an extremely fast paced and changeable environment. We believe that all children deserve a life of choice and opportunity however they present. You will be ready and willing to use your initiative to successfully navigate behaviours that could be complex and challenging whilst promoting a positive culture of achievement and success in mathematics.

You will be required to teach in accordance with the ethos, organisation and policies of the school as a fully committed member of the teaching team and as detailed in the specific duties and core standards below.

Under the reasonable direction of the Senior Leadership Team, carry out the professional duties of a school teacher as set out in the current School policies. Uphold the professional code of Teachers’ Standards.

- Qualified to degree level with QTS and above
- Experience of working with young people from challenging backgrounds
- Evidence of continually improving the outcomes of pupils
- The courage and conviction to make a difference
- The ability to listen and communicate effectively
- Constant deep reflection which leads to personal growth and better pupil outcomes
- Sustain energy, optimism and motivation in the face of pressure and setbacks

- Driving Licence
- Commitment to on-going improvement and learning;
- Evidence of ability to plan strategically
