Watford, United Kingdom BRE Group (Building Research Establishment) Full time

You will work closely with the Scheme Manager - Infrastructure, the Sustainable Products Lead, other experts and wider BPS teams to successfully:

- Manage the day-to day operational aspects of the schemes under the SP, BREEAM Infrastructure and BPS Certification Schemes portfolio
- Identify and implementing technical and procedural improvements to the SP and BPS schemes governance and operational processes.
- Ensure robust and credible outcomes in accordance with relevant standards by which SP and BPS certification and verification schemes are developed and operate
- Seek and review customer feedback, team and other stakeholder feedback and identify means and ways of improving performance through systems, processes, staff development etc
- Support technical experts in the upkeep and evolution of the underpinning SP and BPS science base, to ensure that product development is scientifically led.
- Support the development of digital platforms to strengthen the SP and BPS portfolio offer in the market and interact with BREEAM Infrastructure Clients’ project needs
- Monitor and uphold health, safety and wellbeing both personally and for all team members and any external visitors accountable to this role.
- Ownership of personal professional development, ensuring that mandatory training and competency requirements are maintained in addition to other professional development needs as required by the role

**What experience and skills does the role need?**

Essential
- Experience and understanding of the development and operation of certification and verification schemes
- Knowledge of the Management System Standards such as ISO 14001
- Experience in a role with demonstrable ability to work proactively and independently
- Excellent communication skills; an ability to understand and interpret customers’ needs and deliver a service and/or product which exceeds customers’ expectations
- Can build effective relationships both internally and externally, be a brand ambassador for BRE
- IT literate and extensive knowledge of MS office etc

Desirable
- Educated to a degree level in a degree providing an understanding of the natural environment and /or sustainability
- Excellent understanding of key standards governing certification and verification activities
- Knowledge of BREEAM and/or the BRE business
- Knowledge of construction product certification and verification schemes
- Knowledge of ISO and CEN standards relating to product assessment
