- **Centum**_ is an Irish Mechanical, Electrical & Civil Engineering company, based in Toomebridge, Northern Ireland and we have been operating since 2015. Today we employ circa 350 employees across Europe and are fast building a reputation of providing cost effective solutions to our clients deliver construction projects to the highest standards.

**Purpose: S**ourcing, negotiating and buying of goods, materials and services to meet the Company’s operational requirements.

**Main Duties**
- Prepare and issue tender enquiries as necessary progress the return of quotations
- Liaising with Site Personnel to fulfil their requirements
- Obtain new company details, including financial and insurance documentation. Completing internal forms and issue to the relevant departments for approval.
- Manage and develop Centum’s supply base.
- Forecasting
- Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations.
- Provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities
- Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
- Manage suppliers and their performance
- Develop and maintain customer relationships.
- Generate and update KPI’s in line with Company Quality Management System
- Liaise with internal team to ensure adequate material in line with customer demand.
- Ensure new contracts are in line with group policies

**Essential Skills/criteria**
- 2-3 years in a similar buying/procurement role
- Logistics experience
- Chartered Institute of Procurement Systems (CIPS) or similar qualification or studying towards CIPS qualification would be beneficial
- ERP knowledge
- Strong understanding of contracts
- Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding, and cost breakdown.
- Able to add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements
- Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships wot staff, stakeholders and suppliers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem solving skills.
