Teaching Assistant required to support a Year 10 boy with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs. Are you a Teaching Assistant who has previously worked with challenging behaviours or SEMH needs? This dynamic Alternative Provision is looking for a TAto work on a 1-2-1 basis with this child who has recently received additional funding. The school is looking for a confident Teaching Assistant who is happy working with challenging behaviours on a 1-2-1 basis.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be providing classroom based support, helping this students to reengage with education on a daily basis. Alongside the classroom support you will be delivering 1-2-1 intervention sessions focused on improving confidence andbehaviours. School experience is essential and a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification ( or equivalent) is desirable.
Job Role:

- Providing classroom support for the teacher, including managing behaviours
- Working on a 1-2-1 basis to ensure the child gets the most out of lessons
- Breaking down academic and social barriers
- Working with a team of teaching Assistants to make sure school is a nurturing environment to be
- Working with the SENCO to implement an action plan for the child
