**London Warrant Enforcement has been established for twenty years, we are a small, friendly, family run enforcement agency based in London. We have service level agreements with several local authorities in west London, south-west Essex and Surrey. We are recruiting for experienced Civil Enforcement Agents, the position could be either full-time employed or self-employed/freelance.**

**Employed Position**

The successful applicant will work a 35 hour week. A company vehicle, health and safety equipment, IT devices and body worn camera will be provided. 25 days per annum annual holiday.

The annual salary will begin at £35,000 pa, you can additionally earn a potential £35k-£40k pa by achieving targets.

**Self-Employed position**

A generous commission rate on fees, we will supply body worn camera and tablet loaded with company database for recording visits and accessing cases. You will be expected to work at least 35 hours per week.

**The Role**

To provide customer focused enforcement for local authority recovery for Council Tax, Business Rate, Parking, Business Improvement District Levies, Community Infrastructure Levies, Sundry Debts.

To be sensitive to customer needs, committed to providing equality in service whilst achieving national standards and a high collection level.

To be pro-active, quick thinking and able to meet minimum collection targets.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

To manage a case portfolio and take enforcement action where necessary using current legislation.

Undertake visits to debtors premises within London and the Home Counties.

Make, help maintain and administer payment arrangements.

To liaise with colleagues, management and local authority staff.

Ensuring that you are fair, firm and consistent with your approach at all times.

Make enquiries to establish the whereabouts of absconded debtors.

Must be able to acquire and maintain a full and comprehensive knowledge of all current legislation.

To be able to work flexible hours so as to maximise contact with debtors.

Competent in using IT equipment, databases and Microsoft programs such as excel and word.

Have a good level of Maths and English, good handwriting and spelling.

Ensure that the company health and safety policy is implemented and safe working practices and procedures are adopted.

**Knowledge**

A good understanding of local taxation, how the Council Tax and Business Rate system works, basic knowledge of how benefits are applied and what discounts and exemptions are available to debtors.

Knowledge of how the Valuation Office works and the impact of how this affects business rate.

**Skills**

Excellent communication skills

Self motivated and able to reach targets

Managing workload and planning visits

Full and clean UK driving licence

Minimum of Level 2 qualification in Taking Control of Goods

Hold a General Enforcement Agent Certificate
