We are a leading Powered Access, Lifting Equipment & training supplier. Part of a larger group of companies covering International Freight, Warehousing and Distribution. With continued growth, we are now looking to expand our Hire Desk based in Bellshill and are on the lookout for an exceptional Hire Desk Controller. Monday to Friday great work life balance.

**JOB PURPOSE**

We are looking for someone who excels in excellent customer service to join our expert Hire Desk team. You must be passionate, thrive within a sales and service environment and have the ability to listen to our customers’ needs and recognise opportunities to maximise and secure both current and future business.

**CORE TASKS**
- Using our in-house system to interactively take orders, proactively checking an updating availability.
- Using your product knowledge, providing our customers with hire options best suited to their needs and requirements.
- Dealing with customer enquiries in a professional and polite manner.
- Ensuring the accuracy of all orders entered on to the system to minimise disputes and credit notes, ensuring all the relevant paperwork is filed internally and received by the customer.
- Building strong, meaningful and collaborative relationships with colleagues in other departments/companies within the group.
- Managing day books.
- General administration.
- Setting up customer contracts for hire/accounts.
- Preparing Invoices.
- Maintaining and exceeding depot targets.
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external clients.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
- Previous experience in a telephone-based sales/customer service role.
- An excellent telephone manner.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise deadlines.
- Good knowledge of MS Office including Word and Excel.

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
