Assembly Fitter

Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire
Duration: 6 months+
Pay Rate: £15.58-£20.43
Our Loughborough based client are looking for a Mechanical Fitter for a minimum of 6 months work, this could be extended or lead to a permanent position.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Working as fitter on manufacturing transformers, tap changer & control cubicle.
- Work well as a part of the team and closely with team leaders and production manager to deliver quality transformer product on time.
- The role requires the ability to read the engineering drawings to build transformers.
- Perform preparation of the tanks for tanking of the core and coils assembly.
- Perform the tanking and de-tanking of the core and coil assembly for the range of transformers manufactured.
- Mounting & dismantling of Bushings, radiators, cooling fans and other transformer accessories.
- Building of A frames and cooler bank assemblies.
- Perform the vacuum and oil filling activities in transformer tank with associate parts.
- Operate all process machines such as crane, oven, brazing machines, oil filter machines, stud welding machines etc.
- Help in touch up painting of transformer parts.
- Preparation of gaskets and other necessary tools for the final assembly of transformer tanks
- Measuring cable length of transformer tank & cutting external wiring cable as required.

Day shifts: 7am -4pm, Mon to Thurs, 7am to 1pm Friday.

£15.58 per hour ( PAYE)

£20.43 per hour ( Umbrella)

May go on to shifts ( Mornings and afters ) in future.
