We are looking for an individual with a passion for care and teaching to join the team as a our care home trainer. The role is ensure through the provision of education and training that all staff have the necessary skills and are competent to deliver high standards of care.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that new staff to care have completed the Care Certificates and all mandatory training.
- In partnership with the Home Manager, ensure there is a training programme in place to reflect training needs identified at supervision/appraisal meetings
- Maintain a training matrix to ensure all training categories are at a level of 90% or above
- Ensure there is a system in place which evidences individual staff training
- Ensure there are training opportunities for staff to expand their role and become ‘Champions’ in their chosen field.
- Keep up-to-date with internal and external learning and development opportunities
- Co-ordinate all Home based training and complete the Monthly Training Report

**About You**:
You will be friendly and approachable with a knowledge of the care industry and correct practice. We are looking for a trainer who will inspire staff to complete online and face to face training. You will also be required to produce reports and documents so must be organised and able to use Microsoft office, including Excel.

**Salary**: £13.30 per hour
