Head Chef Mobile Kitchen Film & TV Work
My client is an ingredient led catering company providing a quality fresh food service for film and TV studios including film location work, clients include Amazon, Netflix, Marvel and Apple TV.
We are looking for a reliable, customer-focused professional Head Chef to run the mobile kitchen for a 2-week contract at Pinewood Studios in January, with a view to moving to a permanent role within the company.
Catering for up to 500 people a day the unit provides breakfasts, grab and go street food style snacks, specialty coffees, raw juices etc. The company core values embrace responsible food provenance, recycling and healthy eating producing delicious, creativeand inspirational food on a daily basis with a big focus on vegan and plant-based food, including vegan baking. There is no central production kitchen so all deliveries, food prep, cooking and service are done from the mobile unit
Duties will include:
- Running the mobile kitchen and the food section across the business
- Managing a team of chefs
- Food prep & cooking
- Serving cast and crew
- Menu evolving and planning
- Ordering and stock management
- Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Allergy Awareness
Previous experience of film location work would be an advantage.
**Own transport is essential as some locations are rural**
Rate: £300 a day
This may include occasional night work; some early starts and/or late finishes
