This is an exciting opportunity for a **Workshop Controller** to join our team. As a **Workshop Controller,** you’ll play a part in keeping some of the UK’s biggest brands on the road, you will be responsible for building and maintaining customer and employee relations to ensure that the workshop achieves its financial, productivity, service, compliance and quality performance standards. **What you’ll do as a Workshop Controller** - Ensure that the workshop operates in line with our safe systems of work, and all legislative and H&S processes are followed. - Assist with management all KPI’s including management of direct and indirect costs, productivity & compliance. - Support the continuous improvement of processes and operating practices within the department. - Plan and manage resources in-line with set budgets - Build rapport, develop trust and respect from both internal and external customers - Provide daily/weekly operational reports and status updates as required - Management and control of all parts use within the workshop. - Support the delivery of plans to plans to drive improved engagement with your team. - Ensure that the Customer’s Operator Licence obligations are met - To undertake such duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the function. **What you’ve got** - Experience of workshop management and operational procedures and standards. - Experience working with or for major commercial vehicle manufacturers. - Experience of people management - Understanding of Workshop operations and VOSA's "Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness." - Experience of managing and improving Key Performance Indicators - Excellent communication skills - Balances the day to day thinking and can assess the commercial implications - Demonstrates commercial awareness - IT literate **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Company events - Company pension - Employee discount - Free parking - Health & wellbeing programme - Life insurance - On-site parking - Private medical insurance - Store discount Schedule: - Day shift - Monday to Friday - No weekends - Overtime Work Location: In person
