Concrete Labourer

**Reporting To**:Managing Director

**Location**:Newton Stewart/ Gatehouse of Fleet/ Dumfries (travel to other UK locations required)

**Contract**:Full Time, Permanent

**Hourly Rate**:Competitive / Dependent on Experience

**Hours of Work**:Monday to Friday, (40 hpw + regular overtime available)

**PURPOSE OF THE ROLES**

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

The key duties and responsibilities of these positions include, but are not limited to:

- Assist with pouring and finishing concrete floors.
- Aid the Squad Supervisor with concrete construction including shuttering walls, tanks and general site tasks such as drainage and groundworks.
- Accept and check deliveries from internal and external parties.
- Load and unload deliveries received.
- Execute daily work instructions received from Management and Squad Supervisor to a high standard in a timely manner.
- Lift and carry materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Ensure site areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
- Monitor situations to make adjustments and maintain quality.
- Comply with the company’s policies & procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
- Attend and participate in mandatory training when necessary.

**Essential**:

- Previous construction knowledge and experience relating to the role applied for.
- Eager and willing to take part in practical and awareness training courses required for the position(s).
- Have an understanding of manual handling procedures and site health & safety.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Hold a UK driving licence and be prepared to travel to UK based sites.

**Desirable**:

- Ideally, hold a valid CSCS card or willing to undertake the necessary Health & Safety training courses.
- Plant tickets for operating plant such as roller, dumper, excavator - CPCS/NPORS or equivalent, would be extremely beneficial.
