**The Role**
We’re looking for a passionate, qualified sports coach to join EcoCoach on a **part-time, self-employed basis**.
This is a blended role that includes:
- **Curriculum PE (PPA cover) sessions in the afternoons**:
- **Lunch and After-School Clubs**:
- **Alternative Provision (AP) sessions with children and young people requiring additional support**
We want someone who can bring energy, integrity, and professionalism to their work—and who genuinely cares about delivering the best experience for every child they coach.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **PPA Delivery** - Lead high-quality, inclusive PE sessions aligned to the national curriculum.
- **Lunch & After-School Clubs** - Deliver structured, fun and engaging clubs that promote physical literacy and enjoyment of sport.
- **Alternative Provision (AP) Delivery** - Work 1:1 or in small groups with children and young people who require a bespoke approach. These sessions are often off-site or within AP settings and focus on building confidence, positive behaviour, and physical development.
- **This is a core part of the role and is paid at an enhanced rate of £20/hour.**:
- **Safeguarding & Child-Centered Practice** - Always act in accordance with our safeguarding policies and uphold our child-first coaching ethos.
- **Professional Communication** - Maintain respectful, proactive communication with schools, parents, and the EcoCoach team.**What We Expect**:
- **Professionalism** - You must be organised, punctual, and take pride in your delivery.
- **Adaptability** - You’re able to work with diverse groups of children and tailor your approach accordingly.
- **Coach-Led Ownership** - We expect you to prepare well, reflect on your sessions, and strive to continually improve your practice.
- **Reliability** - Our schools and families rely on us; showing up matters.
**Essential Requirements**
- Level 2 Coaching Qualification (e.g. Multi-Sport or NGB Sport-Specific)
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain via EcoCoach, admin costs apply)
- Safeguarding Training (or willingness to complete)
- Availability for **afternoons (Mon-Fri)** + **after-school clubs (Tues/Wed)**:
- Willingness to deliver **AP sessions at £20/hour** across locations
- Reliable transport to travel to sites (Cambridge, Huntingdon, Peterborough)
**What You’ll Get**
