Principal Planning Officer (Policy and Projects)
£48,388.60 pa (full time, three days on-site, two days remote per week)
If you have three or more years’ experience working in Planning Policy and are a motivated self-starter looking for a new challenge, we’d like to hear from you. Broxbourne Council’s current Local Plan has generated many exciting development projects across the Borough, but is now due for a review. Now is the perfect time to join the team and expand your experience as a key player in updating the Local Plan.
Broxbourne is located on the northern edge of London and is only 30 minutes from Liverpool Street Station by train. The Lee Valley Regional Park and high-quality Green Belt together with intense pressure for development means that the challenge of finding suitable locations for growth is considerable.
You will be part of a small, successful team that includes a S106 specialist and will work creatively on progression of a new Community Infrastructure Levy and on infrastructure projects funded by S106 funding flowing into the Borough from recent developments.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in fluent English is essential in this post.
An appointment will be made at either Principal or Senior Planning Officer level depending on applicants’ skills and experience.

Application forms must be submitted online by 25 March 2025 quoting the above reference.
