**Job Overview**:
To oversee the day-to-day operational running of the Orders and Dispatch teams, ensuring standards and company policies are consistently maintained.

Taking control of the development of all teams through training and mentoring. Including development of new standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and induction process.

Act as a conduit between Customer Service and the Orders/Dispatch teams to ensure the highest and most efficient level of service is delivered.

Carry out and ensure compliance across the main warehouse through weekly and monthly audits and inspections.

Support the Operations Manager as required to meet broader business objectives.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
1. Report directly to the Operations Manager

2. Direct and lead staff in line with business objectives and personal targets

3. Monitoring of individual and team performance including setting objectives for team leaders to manage staff performance

4. Review, develop and grow the training capabilities of each team to ensure consistency in standards

5. Monthly reporting of agreed personal KPI’s

6. Setting of Team Leader KPI’s

7. Responsibility for ordering of consumables for the Orders/Dispatch functions

8. Development, review and maintenance of a housekeeping checklist for Orders/Dispatch team leaders

9. Monitor Sickness and Absence by department, reporting weekly on actions taken, where required by team leaders

10. Assist with HR functions as and when required. Not limited to recruitment, disciplinary process, counselling, and inductions

11. Develop, deliver, and monitor standards and performance documentation for Orders/Dispatch

12. Assist with coordinating sale period rotas as and when required in line with company policy

13. Approval of Holidays in line with company policy and departmental schedules

14. Attending meetings to discuss department targets and set new objectives/goals.

15. Liaise with any other departments within the business as and when required

16. Overall responsibility to deliver performance management and appraisals for Orders/Dispatch teams (including team leaders)

17. Any other reasonable request as directed by the Operations Manager

Strong and confident personality

Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written

Detail orientated and analytical

Demonstratable experience in a leadership role for minimum of 2 years

Disciplined and able to work to tight, fluctuating time frames

Excellent problem solver and able to prioritise tasks

Honest, loyal and driven

Proven experience in delivering training

Knowledge of people management principles and practices

Ability to be flexible with rota hours, where required to meet business need

**Desirable**

Ability to produce and present data in various Microsoft formats

Previous experience of stock movement practices

Ambition to progress within the company

Creative thinker

Good negotiation skills

Working knowledge of Health & Safety

Knowledge of HR policies and procedures

Working week: Full Time, 40 hours, in-person
