As part of the continued focus on Cybersecurity as a catalyst for growth, we have an exciting Cybersecurity Business Development Manager (CBDM) role open in our Global Security Sales Organization (GSSO), focusing on UK Healthcare, Local Government and Education.
We are looking for a highly motivated, entrepreneurial-minded professional in the field of Cybersecurity, who can demonstrate the ability to engage at a senior level, have a solid grasp of key security concepts, develop and execute sales strategies that maximise Cisco’s opportunity with the customer environment, articulate Cisco’s product and business strategies, and build the demand that translates into sales pipeline.
**Role Description
As a Cybersecurity Business Development Manager (CBDM), you will be responsible for developing Security opportunities within the UK Public Sector, working closely with our sales teams across various customer segments.
In this role you will:
- Have strong customer-facing and field engagement responsibilities, including leading Executive Briefings, Virtual briefings and participating & representing Cisco in external customer and partner events.
- Work with the Cisco field sales team to develop a sales plan, identify new sales opportunities within existing and new Cisco clients, and work with the Partner sales teams to win new business deals.
- Will play a significant role in supporting the field account teams and our customers with Product Management interactions - pricing, customer escalations, product/solution roadmap etc. Responsibilities also include supporting large deals, both business and technical aspects of structuring and effectively helping the field to close large deals.
- Drive sales campaigns into target accounts, working with Cisco field sales, Partner sales, and Marketing teams.
- Work closely with the Cybersecurity TSA team for technical interlock and Cisco Services team for integrated product + services engagement models.
- Develop a deep understanding of Cisco Cybersecurity product capabilities and value proposition, and be able to present that in a highly effective manner.
**Who You Are
- You should be passionate about Sales and Cybersecurity.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to persuade - using simple communications that convey complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative way.
- Fluency in English is a must.
- You must be able to demonstrate ability to speak to customers in a consultative style in order to develop opportunities, show an understanding of customer requirements, discuss solutions, and sell Cisco Csecurity value proposition.
- Adept at balancing intense short-term pressures with overall long-term goals.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
