**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Help with cooking tasks under the supervision of chefs, ensuring that all dishes meet quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing utensils and equipment after use.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support catering events by preparing food items as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.
- Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential; we welcome those eager to learn.
- A basic understanding of food safety practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary terminology will be beneficial.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential for success in this role.
- A genuine interest in cooking and catering will enhance your experience as a Kitchen Assistant.
