**Experimentation Specialist** **Location: Hybrid/Remote** **About the Role**: At RS Group, we are on a mission to ‘Make Amazing Happen’ for our customers. Experimentation is fast becoming the methodology we use to make amazing happen, and as the Experimentation Specialist, you will play a role in growing the RS Components & wider RS Group experimentation culture. You will hone your craft in and enable our business units across the global organisation to make better decisions, through the scientific approach of experimentation. Reporting into the Experimentation Centre of Excellence, you will be supporting the team in crafting experimentation workflows, processes, and procedures, ensuring experiments in our global business are run to the highest of standards and delivering commercial outcomes & learnings. **Key Deliverables for my role** - Support, coach and guide individual business units on the end-to-end experimentation process, from exploration & ideation through to execution and conclusion. - Onboarding and enablement of new business units in experimentation. - Identify critical business opportunities for experimentation, synthesising data sources to back decision making, and working these through the organisation to drive action and results. - Maintain and enforce clear governance and operational excellence guidelines for experimentation practice across the global organisation. - Maintain global programme data of business experiment performance through our in-house ‘Experimentation Operating System’, identifying blockers and opportunities to improve process in individual business units - Execute quarterly maturity benchmarking activities with aligned business units, building an evolving picture of growing sophistication across the organisation. - Work directly with software engineers across the organisation to implement our global experimentation platform and calibrate key metrics. - Support in the creation of detailed test specification plans to be briefed into product & engineering for execution. - Collaborate with various insights functions to increase flow of ideation, - Evangelise experimentation across the business, hosting drop-ins, educational forums, and experiment review sessions. - Report on the weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress of your aligned domains against key experimentation metrics - Support Experimentation Analysts with pre-experimentation insights and post-experiment teardowns where required. **Key opportunities for growth in this role** In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and grow your experimentation skills in a FTSE100 company with big growth ambitions, with a view to longer term, moving towards either a Senior or Principal Experimentation Specialist role, or an Experimentation Manager role, depending on whether the individual wishes to build deep specialisms, or move more into people management, strategy, and vision. **Useful Experience**: - Previous experience of managing an experimentation roadmap/programme either in-house or agency side - Good knowledge of A/B Testing and experimentation practice principles, spanning Ideation, hypothesis building, experiment design, build, launch, analysis, and results sharing. - Highly inquisitive problem solver, open-minded and data driven, with a keen focus on customer experience - Demonstrable experience of using and implementing experimentation platforms/capabilities, such as Optimizely or Adobe Target - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to work effectively with a wide array of highly technical and non-technical stakeholders, up to head of/VP level. - Experience of designing, planning, and executing experiments end to end. - Strong commercial awareness, able to clearly demonstrate the relationship between micro experiment goals and macro business objectives - Good understanding of modern engineering, product and UX principle - Previous experience understanding of analytics platforms such as Adobe analytics and Google analytics. - Demonstrates high level of autonomy to achieve team and organisation level objectives, managing time effectively and delivering outcomes across multiple asynchronous workstreams. **About RS Group**: RS Group is a global omni-channel solutions partner for industrial customers and suppliers.
