Support the Maintenance Officer / Service Manager in promoting comfort, safety, and wellbeing of the residents by ensuring that their Care Centre, plant, and equipment within are maintained to a high standard and fully functioning at all times. Ensure all records are maintained in accordance with the policies and procedures of Prestige Care Group.

**Purpose of position**:
Support the Care Centres by maintaining all external areas of the properties.

Maintain a high standard of work with a professional aptitude and care with consideration of residents at all times.

Support the Maintenance Team at various times if and when required (throughout the year) with any small repairs internally and externally.

**Main responsibilities and duties**
- Assist and support the Maintenance Officer to ensure the Care Centre remains fully functional and the building and equipment therein are maintained to a high standard.
- Ensure all necessary maintenance and repair tasks are completed as directed by the Maintenance Officer.
- Report any defects which are compromising the residents, visitors, and staff’s comfort to the Maintenance Officer.
- Conduct planned tasks as directed by the Maintenance Officer including, decorating, gardening and all other repairs.
- Deputise for the Maintenance Officer in their absence.
- Conduct and record regular checks within the Fire Safety Logbook as directed by the Maintenance Officer.
- Work on the grounds, gardens, and externals as necessary to produce aesthetically pleasing, well maintained and safe areas including the fabric of external buildings.
- When off duty, be prepared to give advice over the telephone and or be called out to the Care centre in Emergencies.
- Maintain the Office, workshop, and plant rooms in an orderly and clean condition, ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and safely secured at all times.
- Complete all maintenance and Health and Safety related mandatory training and follow the procedures and rules set out in the training.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour
