**Main duties & responsibilities**:

- Oversee and assist in preparation of monthly management accounts and sales analysis
- Oversee and assist in preparation of draft annual accounts for audit and tax pack
- Control over VAT, PAYE and Corporation Tax returns and payments
- Assist in the preparation of returns to other Government agencies (such as National Statistics)
- Oversee payments and collections
- Assist with stocktaking as and when necessary
- Budgeting and Forecasting for the company
- Experience of SAGE to assist with payroll if necessary
- Nominal reconciliations
- Cost Analysis
- Present to the Board of Directors when requested, not limited to quarterly board meetings
- Understanding of financial regulations and legislations
- Maintain financial policies and procedures
- Experience of legal and contractual issues
- Management of finance department
- Follow all Quality Control guidelines set by the Company
- Follow the requirements of the Company’s ISO Procedure
- Follow the Company’s Health and Safety Policy, work instructions & safe systems of work
- HR duties for the department, including staff employment, appraisals, training, discipline & grievances

**Post Requirements**:

- Qualified CCAB Accountant or equivalent
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast moving environment
- Able to communicate to all levels of staff
- Hands on approach to cover all other staff during holidays or sickness etc
- Desire to develop a career within a growing firm
- Flexible and adaptable attitude - able to deal with changing priorities
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Good IT skills
- Good time management and ability to prioritise
- Ability to work under pressure, and to deadlines
- Accuracy
- Confident telephone manner.
- Confidentiality in all matters at all times.
