Barista/café Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Barista/ Cafe Assistant to join our team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our small but busy cafe. Your main responsibilities will be customer focused taking orders, making hot and cold handcrafted drinks to our recipes & method, using a till, cleaning & dishes, some food preparation, maintaining food safety standards, assisting customers, and managing your time effectively. If you are a keen baker there is also an orrpotunity to showcase your talent

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness of work areas
- Assist customers with menu selection and provide recommendations
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register accurately
- Maintain inventory levels and restock items as needed
- Clean tables, chairs, and other cafe areas as well as washing dishes to ensure a clean and inviting environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent customer service
- Follow company policies and procedures at all times

**Skills**:

- Ability to learn and follow direction accurately
- Previous BarIsra experience
- Food safety: Knowledge of or willingness to learn proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards
- Basic math skills: Ability to perform simple calculations for cash handling purposes
- Helpfulness: Willingness to assist customers with their needs and provide excellent service
- Time management: Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, resilient and capable of working in a fast paced busy environment.
