Shot Blaster

**£500 signing on bonus**

Established for over 40 years and now one of the North West’s leading& multi award winning Engineering companies, MTL Advanced, part of the WEC Group is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic shot blaster to join our team. We are based in Rotherham, Brinsworth, close to Meadowhall.

This is the perfect opportunity for a motivated and dynamic person to thrive, working inside a blast room with underfloor recovery, this role will working as part of team shot blasting metal parts that meet customer’s specifications.

**KEY JOB OBJECTIVES AND DUTIES**:

- Work to specific production schedules
- Complete all administrative procedures relating to paint area
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
- Adherence to COSHH
- Maintain own equipment, change grit valve, check and change grit-hose, dead man’s handle and nozzles etc.
- Attend meetings as and when needed
- Any other ad hoc duties as may be required within the production environment

**Knowledge & skills required**:

- At least 1 year’s current experience as a shot blaster
- Knowledge of blasting grades (Swedish standards etc)
- Be fully conversant in both written and verbal English
- Lifting and Slinging safe working knowledge / certificate (desirable)
- Valid Fork Lift Truck License (desirable)
- Knowledge of recovery blast booth operations / general maintenance (desirable)

**Working Location/Environment**

Rotherham, Yorkshire

**Hours of work**:
37.5 hours per week, 3 shift rotation:
6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 6am
