Planner / Qs

**About Us**:
We are a growing M&E contracting company based in the heart of Manchester, delivering mechanical and electrical services across commercial, residential, and industrial projects throughout the UK. With a strong pipeline of work and a commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency, we are now looking to strengthen our team with the addition of a skilled and motivated **QS/Planner**.

**Role Overview**:
The Quantity Surveyor / Planner will play a key role in managing project costs and schedules from tender through to completion. You’ll work closely with our project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure financial control and efficient project planning across all phases.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Quantity Surveying Duties**:

- Prepare, submit and negotiate tenders and contracts
- Manage project budgets, valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Conduct cost analysis and value engineering
- Procure materials and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions
- Provide commercial support to project teams

**Planning Duties**:

- Develop project programmes and schedules (using software such as MS Project or Primavera)
- Monitor progress and update project timelines
- Identify risks, delays, and propose corrective actions
- Liaise with site managers and clients to maintain clear communication and coordination
- Support with short-term lookaheads and resourcing plans

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the M&E or construction sector - (electrical experience is a must)
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
- Strong understanding of M&E systems and project lifecycles
- Proficient in project planning and scheduling software
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Full UK driving licence

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
