Treasury Accountant

This high-growth privately-owned group are looking for a Treasury Accountant to lend specific expertise to their group-wide Treasury strategy. Based at their impressive Cannock office and reporting to the FM, this role will see you take ownership for linkingTreasury strategy more closely to operations across the entire group.

Previously, treasury management had been rather removed from the rest of the business. This caused some complex issues which has given rise to the need for this role.

You will be given a lot of autonomy in this role, and as such will create many of the responsibilities yourself. Your main remit will be to improve cash management across the group, maximise efficiency of the foreign exchange transactions and improve operationalprocesses and controls related to the treasury strategy. Improvements to the way cash is managed and how this is reported is the main aim of this role, how you achieve this is down to you.

Your input into forming the strategy regarding treasury management will be vital. It will give the board and the rest of the SMT clearer direction and understanding of the risks facing the business, and what needs to be done to address these. Implementingthis strategy will be another one of your main responsibilities. This will involve working closely with operational staff right across the group - effectively providing a business-partnering service to ensure they are aware of the implications of their operationaldecisions on Treasury strategy.

Ideally, you will:

- Be a qualified accountant (ACA preferred, alternatively ACCA or CIMA) with a background in accounting, financial and internal controls or operational finance in a business-partnering capacity;
- Lots of treasury experience is not a necessity for this role, though some understanding of this and associated internal controls would be helpful;
- Be a natural communicator with the ability to build efficient relationships across a large business network, exerting effective and meaningful influence to help deliver strategy and drive improvements;
- Demonstrate examples of affecting positive change in a large business;
