Support Worker

Could you help people with a learning disability or mental health needs to develop a more fulfilling life?** Our Forensic Service team within the Greater Manchester area support people with learning disabilities who have been through the custodial system. We support them to live a life that makes sense to them. We are looking to recruit a team to support two gentleman who will be new to the service. Simon* will need some support with mobility issues and David has a visual impairment. You will help them develop independence around the tasks of everyday living such as cooking, cleaning, and paying bills, at the same time as supporting them with their health and wellbeing, including mental health. Amongst the people we support there are some pool players, fishing enthusiasts and bike riders. Some people attend work placements and college courses. What they all have in common is wanting to live a better life. We are looking forward to getting know David and Simon and finding out what a meaningful life looks like for them.
