Barista/all Rounder

Hertford Coffee Lab is part of a growing group of local coffee shops based in Hertfordshire. We are an independent business focussed on serving the best coffee this side of the River Lea. Our coffee roastery churns out hundreds of kilos of coffee a week and we are looking for experienced baristas to serve it up in our Hertford store.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Customer service - creating relationships with customers and becoming part of the community
- Serving coffee up to Coffee Lab standards - latte art skills an added bonus
- Knowing our products and upselling effectively
- Keeping the shop running with the team; cleaning, prepping, and daily/weekly jobs completed
- Adhering to food safety guidelines and do your part in keeping our customers and other staff members safe

**Who we're looking for**:

- Previous experience as barista preferred but not required
- Reliable and flexible - this job requires weekend work and an occasional late notice of shifts
- Good work ethic - happy to support fellow members of staff when necessary
- Someone who wants to learn and grow with the company (training and support given)
- Able to work under pressure and still enjoy what they're doing
- A fun, happy personality who can build rapport with customers
