**Plant Maintenance Apprenticeship**

JMS Powered Access have an exciting opportunity for you to start your career in construction, as a Plant Maintenance Apprentice with a nationally recognised industry leader. The scheme will be set out over two years and by the end you will be a Qualified Plant Fitter. Your time will be split between learning at a training college but also working on real plant machinery at our Depot.

**Purpose of Role**

Working in the workshop/yard under the direction and guidance of an experienced supervisor, ensuring that all tools and plant are maintained and working safely. The job holder will work towards a Level 2 qualification in Construction Plant Maintenance, a two-year course with blocks of extensive training with the CITB being our training provider.

**Key Accountabilities may include**:

- Learn the process of understanding drawings and work in accordance with specifications.
- Inspecting plant or machinery to ensure it is in good working order.
- Carry out routine servicing of plant or machinery to given work instructions.
- Identifying faults in plant or machinery and taking appropriate action.
- Dismantling and replacing worn, damaged or faulty component parts.
- Attend College on a day release basis, and undertake any additional training as requested.
- Take part in the apprentice review process.
- Follow Health & Safety policy and procedures, including the wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE) where needed.
- Use all tools, equipment and materials safely.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, customers and managers.

- Can understand and follow instructions.
- Can work as part of a team.
- Good knowledge of English and communication skills.
- Good understanding of maths.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.
- Can pay close attention to detail.
- Can be flexible in work activities, locations and hours of work.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: £14,000.00-£16,000.00 per year
