This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a high level of technical knowledge, skill and operational experience who wants to build upon their training experience and skills. This post requires travel within the UK to deliver training at the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) and MCA HQ, Southampton. Additional travel maybe required to other locations to deliver training and liaise with stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**:

- Your duties will include:_
- Design, delivery, evaluation, review and updating of budgeted Coastguard technical training solutions at appropriate venues across the UK, working with colleagues and/or external providers as necessary
- Assessment of learning and technical competence through both in-programme evaluation and, by the setting, invigilation and marking of formative and summative assessments
- Provision of all areas of Coastguard Technical Training
- Provision of the portfolio of training solutions specific to HMCG Operations
- Acting on behalf of Technical Training & Development as a Subject Matter Expert to HMCG Operations and other interested parties as required
- Participation in the review and maintenance of the Coastguard Technical Competency Framework
- Acting as Internal Assessor and/or Verifier for Coastguard Officers participating in externally accredited programmes where appropriate
- Responsibility and accountability for individual budgetary requirement within the HM Coastguard Technical Training and Development budget

**About You**

You will bring experience of working in an educational or training environment, including experience of designing, developing and delivering training and training materials for face to face learning and e-learning.

You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a track record of establishing positive and professional working relationships with a variety of colleagues and stakeholders, and the ability to engage, motivate and inspire others.

You enjoy working as part of a team as well as under your own initiative, confident to work with autonomously and take responsibility for your outputs, and actively seek ways t to improve processes and the training that you deliver.
