We match our Care Professionals to our clients, based on mutual interests and hobbies to help build bonds of trust and to enable us to provide personalised support._** Becoming a Care Professional... **You must have a big smile that will make each clients face light up when they welcome you at the door.** - As each day is varied, you’ll need to think on your feetand it helps to be light on them too as clients often enjoy a dance following afternoon tea._ **A good pair of eyes and ears are essential. Ears to listen to a lifetime of stories, and eyes to help them find their things if they have been misplaced** - You don’t have to be a Michelin Star Chef but being able to make a cuppa “just right" is essential._ **We don’t wear uniforms (its friendlier that way), but you must be prepared to roll up your sleeves to cook in the kitchen or bring some flowers in from the garden.** - Timekeeping is crucial, you should arrive on time, take your time to listen, take time to understand and take time to care - we measure time in hours and each one matters._ **A GCSE in History is not required, but helping a client relive their memories by flicking through a photo album together will sure make their day.** - You’ll need to bring oodles of patience and a sense of humour. We’re a social bunch at Home Instead who love getting together for regular training and we’ll always be here to support you, no matter what._ **If you tick some of these boxes, then a job at Home Instead might tick yours.** **Qualifications** - Valid driver's license and a car for driving responsibilities - Previous experience in care homes or home care settings desirable - Strong communication skills in English - Basic IT skills for documentation and communication - Demonstrated ability to work with empathy and compassion in a care-giving role **Additional Information** 16 hour contract**: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday 5pm - 10pm £12 - £14 per hour - plus travel time and milage **Everyday tasks include**: - Companionship and tailored wellbeing support. - Support with everyday tasks from cooking a meal to light housework. - Support with personal care, such as washing, dressing & bathing
