Job Description Ward Clerk Location: Clifton Park TC, York Hours: 15 hours per week, part-time, Thursdays and Fridays 09:30 - 17:30 Salary: Depending on experience + Benefits Summary: Clifton Park Hospital opened in 2006 and is located just outside York. The modern purpose built hospital has been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and has first-class medical facilities including 24 beds, two theatres, a day case unit, a large outpatient department with X-ray facilities and on-site physiotherapy, including a small gym area. In 2018, the hospital opened a new outpatient department with 11 consulting rooms, two treatment rooms and x-ray facilities. The role: We currently have a great new opportunity for a Ward Clerk to join our team at Clifton Park Hospital based in York. Working as part of our Ward Admin team providing excellent customer service to our patients and staff. You will be dealing with our computer system - Maxims, as well as ensuring contemporaneous medical folders while patients are in with us. You will also be expected to answer the phone to patients and visitors and be able to field the calls appropriately. You will ensure that all admin processes are adhered to in a timely and professional manner. On a daily basis you will keep patient’s paperwork up to date, accurate and support the wider Ward team with effectively managing all admin for the department. Skills & Attributes: - Outstanding professional customer service and inter-personal skills - Friendly, outgoing personality - Flexibility and adaptability to cover the needs of the department/hospital - Excellent communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn additional software - Excellent attention to detail - Good time management skills - Previous experience of having worked in a hospital setting Hours and days of work would be Thursdays and Fridays, 9.30am to 5.30pm.
