Shape the future, starting with yours - Join AQA as a Workplace Services Apprentice and help us create a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for our teams. Over this two-year programme, you’ll work with our Facilities team, supporting building operations, health and safety, and service delivery. You will also work towards achieving a level 3 qualification: Compliance and risk officer.
**What You’ll Be Doing**
As a Workplace Services Apprentice, you’ll rotate through three key teams - Workplace, Front of House, and Health, Safety & Environment - gaining hands-on experience and supporting the smooth running of our workspaces.
- Workplace - Assist with meetings and events by setting up rooms, providing audio-visual support, and helping colleagues with booking tools and service requests. Carry out building checks, support minor repairs, and work with facilities teams to keep the office safe, and compliant. Provide administrative support by maintaining records, managing stationery and post, and helping with planned site improvements.
- Front of House - Support visitor management, access control, contractor bookings, and onboarding new starters. Communicate confidently with colleagues and guests to ensure a professional and welcoming experience, while assisting with admin tasks such as processing invoices and raising purchase orders
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) - Assist with inspections, audits, and emergency response activities, including first aid and incident management. Shadow HSE colleagues during adjustment requests to learn how workplace safety is maintained. You’ll also support the Sustainability team by gathering building data, promoting eco-friendly behaviours, and helping implement Net Carbon Zero initiatives.
**Who We’re Looking For**
We’re looking for a practical, organised individual with good communication skills and a proactive approach. To be eligible for this scheme, applicants must have at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) including Maths and English. Other key qualities we'd like to see include:
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Resilience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to change and uncertainty
- A focus on customer service with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
**What you’ll get out of it**:
We offer a fully funded apprenticeship, a supportive team, and the chance to make a real impact in education. You’ll gain valuable experience, build confidence, and grow your career in a passionate organisation with a purpose.
Other benefits include:
- A salary of £23,500
- Mentoring from Senior Leadership
- A buddy to guide you through the programme
- Working on real, projects that make an impact
- You’ll take part in an accredited interpersonal skills training programme, including presenting, influencing and problem solving
