**Detailed job description and main responsibilities**:
The post holders will be responsible for supporting and administering the study under the guidance of the clinical trials practitioner at the delivery siteThe post holder will be expected to interact with participants and their families in relation to the requirements of the research study and be able to work without supervision in some areas

The post will be a key member of the study’s operation team working with the Research Operations Manager and Administrators and senior clinical staff to support the successful delivery of the SUMMIT study.

The post holder is responsible for:

- Liaising with the study team to facilitate good working relationships.
- Recording and reporting all adverse events / problems and making sure they are copied to the trial coordinator.
- Providing assistance to the clinical trial practitioner and senior clinical trial practitioner when needed.
- Supporting clinical-admin tasks of the study such as covering reception if needed, booking interpreters, help in tracking participants to ensure completion of all procedures and ensure accountability of all participants at the end of the study, procurement & arranging for pick-up and deliveries for clinical sites, back-up office coordinator to support phone questionnaires
- Providing high quality assistance to the Research Operations Administrators in maintaining up to date and accurate filing systems of the Investigator’s Site File - paper and IT, assisting with orders and tracking and logging purchases and orders
- Managing maintenance and servicing of equipment at sites & assisting with other facilities related management
- To assist with surveys/audits as required.
- To communicate with participants, members of the public and staff in a friendly, professional and courteous manner at all times on behalf of the Directorate with all levels (including managerial/executive) of the Board, the Trust and external bodies.
- To be familiar with and confident in using the standard Trust IT systems;
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested.

- Knowledge of EU Trial Directive and ICH GCP
