We are currently looking a Retail Sales Assistant (Counter Operative) to join our store in Chester le Street. The working hours for this role are a 16 hours per week with additional hours available in busy periods. Shifts will be between 8am and 5pm and will include Saturday and bank holiday working as necessary.

To be successful in the role you must be flexible, reliable and be self-motivated. This role is hands on and will include serving customers, using our till system, replenishing stock, cooking and making fresh products such as hot and cold sandwiches, salads, baked goods. You must be able to demonstrate high standards of customer service.

On successful completion of our bespoke retail training programme you will have developed a good understanding of our policies and procedures and be able to deliver on the high standards we expect - this is a great foundation to build on and may lead to further progression opportunities within the business.

This role will suit anyone who has a genuine interest in developing a career within Retail and for those who are looking to progress within a fast moving organisation, there will be varying opportunities to develop into Supervisory and Management roles in the near future.

Experience in a Hospitality or catering environment is essential with experience working in food preparation roles. Applications will also be considered from those with cleaning and care experience too.
