**Role Purpose**: The primary purpose of the **Head of Consumer, Communities & Micro SME Sales **is to support the Chief Commercial Officer through, leading the Consumer, Communities and Micro business sales teams, overseeing the activities of junior and professional colleagues and monitoring sales performance across Devon & Cornwall. The **Head of Consumer, Communities & Micro SME Sales** will work in close partnership with the Head of Business Sales to establish Wildanet as the preferred provider of internet services throughout the South West. This role is an integral part of our business in that it also involves the management of external partners and collaborations with numerous internal departments to deliver a first class service.
**Main Responsibilities**: The **Head of Consumer, Communities & Micro SME Sales **is responsible for defining and communicating the business KPI’s and targets to the team on a regular basis, analyzing patterns in market and consumer behaviours and defining data driven action strategies to consistently optimise the companies commercial performance. The role holder will have direct reports.
**Key Activities**:
While duties and responsibilities will vary, they typically include:
**Daily management of the Sales Team**:
- Providing oversight and positive role modelling to the team to ensure we are providing exceptional level of service to our customers (internal and external)
- Establishing and monitoring of team KPI’s and performance metrics, including commission payments
- Colleague 121’s, reviews and development plans and chairing team meetings
- Resource planning, recruitment and retention activities, including training and coaching of team members
- Efficiently managing workflow through the department
- Providing detailed, timely and accurate management reports on the team’s performance
- Ensuring communication is effective and maintained within the team, keeping up with daily updates from other departments: informing your team about any Network build plans, Sales, Key Accounts Management or Product-related development and ensuring its full understood.
**Sales Strategy**:
- Implementing sales strategies that further the team’s agenda and drives enhanced revenue generation for the business
- Delivering an optimized market mix relative to the core target customers and identifying the roadmap that will lead to the achievement of the department’s goals as well as the overall goals of the business
- In collaboration with the Chief Marketing Officer, create and implement sales action plans that incorporate key actions that work to set KPI’s for the business
**Analytics**:
- Utilize analytics tools and works with the wider team in undertaking detailed analyses of sales performance for the purpose of reporting sales strategy successes, weaknesses, and opportunities to senior management
- Identify areas of improvement in sales strategies with a view of establishing actionable insights for improving sales and business profits
- Monitors and observe the Wildanet brand and make forecasts, identifying new trends ahead of the curve, hence, offering Wildanet a competitive advantage and keeping it ahead of its competition in the market.
**Participate in cross functional projects to include**:
- Building strong stakeholder bonds to become a trusted business partner across Wildanet, to be able to effect change easily, and maintain an wider support network
- Work closely with the product development team, marketing team and network design team in creating product intelligence, for example, target service areas, product/brand adjacencies, conducting trend analysis, and ensuring that these are aligned to support and drive sales and conversion
