**Nursery**: CherryStone Day Nursery, 1 Dell Lane, Stoneleigh, Surrey, KT17 2NE

**Salary**: £10.00 - 12.21 per hour (dependant on NMW)

**Hours**: 42.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday

We are recruiting for a Nursery assistant to join our team at Cherrystone Day Nursery.

The Nursery is located next to Stoneleigh station with access to local shops within walking distance, the nursery is a converted building across two floors which provides spacious rooms and a staff room.

**As Nursery Assistant, you will**:

- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor always
- Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff: child ratios
- Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
- Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
- Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development

**What we are looking for**:

- Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
- Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
- Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
