We are currently seeking a reliable and caring Kitchen Assistant to support our dedicated catering team. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of our residents, by ensuring mealtimes run smoothly. You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive environment at Croft Care Home, where teamwork and kindness are at the heart of everything we do.

**Position Details**:

- **Rate of Pay**: In line with the national minimum wage
- **Location**: Burton on Trent, DE15 (Please consider travel times, including on weekends, before applying)

**Shift Pattern**:

- **Hours**: 8:00am - 6:00pm
- **Week 1**: Monday, Thursday, Friday
- **Week 2**: Monday, Saturday, Sunday
- (repeats on a two-week rotation)_

**Key Responsibilities**:
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work alongside our Cooks to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment and assist in the preparation and serving of meals. Your duties will include:

- Maintaining a hygienic kitchen and dining area
- Keeping accurate records of food supplies, temperatures and schedules
- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety at all times
- Following statutory Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Reporting any faults or issues promptly

We are looking for someone who is caring, friendly, and has good communication skills. Experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is beneficial, as is a valid Food Hygiene Certificate.
