**The Role**

The Logistics Specialist will provide support for the Purchasing, Stores and Distribution teams within each respective area and will be responsible for the effective coordination of activities associated with ensuring GMP & GDP compliance within the Logistics Department.

The post holder will represent the Logistics Department during the implementation of business projects within the department, the projects may include activities such as the implementation of new products, the introduction of new regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement activities to meet the needs of the business.

This will include communicating with Project Managers and Product Supply Managers, engaging with customers with regard to new and existing projects and the compilation and management of GMP & GDP documentation.

The role will support all Almac Pharma Services packaging sites and will work closely with the Packaging operational teams, Quality, Business Development, and the Client Management team.

**Essential Criteria**
- Degree (or equivalent) qualification Or Significant experience in a similar role may be considered in lieu of academic requirements
- Previous experience of data analysis
- Previous experience of compiling technical documents
- Understanding of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)

**Desirable Criteria**
- (The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exists)_
- Previous experience in a customer facing role, or a pharmaceutical or regulated operational environment
- Working knowledge of temperature controlled systems and supply chains
- Working knowledge of import & export regulations
