**Catering Assistant - Parklands Primary School**

**Term Time Only Contract - 12.5 Hours A Week, 38 Weeks A Year**

**There are three basic ingredients for this role;**
- ** The food **- Here at Pabulum, we take our values so seriously that we put Education, Passion, Sensation and Innovation forefront of everything we do. 94% of our food is freshly prepared on site every day, using 75% British produce and little or no frozen or processed foods.
- ** The people** - Happy customers always come back for more, so we expect you ensure they have an excellent customer experience.
- ** And you** - We are recruiting for a talented Catering Assistant who has a passion for fresh cooking to join our positive and professional team.

**About The Role And Benefits;**
- £9.50 an hour, 12.5 Hours a week, 38 working weeks a year
- Monday - Friday
- 11:30am - 2pm
- Holiday pay

**Responsibilities And Duties;**
- You will show passion for the food you create and serve, be passionate about the ingredients and you will ensure your team deliver a consistently high level of food quality.
- By agreeing, monitoring and maintaining standards and objectives with your team and your client, your commitment to food excellence means that the standard of food service delivery in your sites meets the Pabulum criteria
- You will assess the food service offer and identify how to deliver required improvements through a site development programme and action plan
- You will support the team in ensuring our quality is maintained by ordering the right food from the right place at the right time

**About you**
- Experience in a catering environment would be great but is not essential. Training will be given, and progression and development is encouraged.
- You will need the ability to communicate effectively with your team
- You’ll need to be friendly and approachable with a positive attitude.
- You’ll get essential training on Food Hygiene and Health & Safety

As you will be working in Education, you must provide two employment/character references and we’ll also carry out an Enhanced DBS / Criminal Record Check as well (which we’ll pay for).
