Cleaner/caretaker

Due to its independence, it is imperative that G3 attract the best possible team members, who wish to pursue a long, satisfying and fruitful career with a local company who is committed to providing the best possible facilities for it's staff. **JOB PURPOSE** To manage all aspects of cleaning the grounds and general DIY maintenance **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES** - Cleaning of Gatehouse and Refurb Centre - General cleaning of yard & outside areas including litter picking / bin emptying - Empty outside ashtrays - Ensure outside all areas and perimeter is clear of clutter, debris and empty packaging boxes etc. - Ensure all cardboard is recycled - Floor cleaning in rostrum area before each sale - Litter picking in auction hall prior to cars being lined up for sale - Litter picking in customer car park and perimeter on a daily basis - Highlight any areas which require repair/refurbishment - General repairs and maintenance / DIY - Touch up paintwork where required - Replace lightbulbs/fuses/batteries where required - Keep track of cleaning materials, toilet roll etc for replenishment - Tidy away deliveries of stock/stationary etc keeping storage areas clear and tidy - Occasional sick and holiday cover of the office cleaner - These responsibilities are for guidance purposes only and are not exhaustive **SKILLS QUALIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS** - Previous experience as a cleaning operative and / or working within a caretaker or similar role - The ability to carry out general repairs and DIY (advantageous) **PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES** - Friendly personable and helpful manner - Take pride in every task completed - Ability to identify and rectify issues prior to them being highlighted - A "can do" positive attitude - Must be flexible, G3r is a fast paced environment and sometimes you may be asked to do other tasks at short notice which may mean you working additional hours. **OTHER INFORMATION** - £12.21 per hour - Part time 20 hours per week minimum - 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays) - Positive and current references will be required prior to commencement of employment. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £12.21 per hour **Benefits**: - On-site parking Work Location: In person
