Electric Square is looking for an accomplished, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Encounter Designer to join our Brighton based team working on an exciting, critically acclaimed franchise.

**An Encounter Designer at Electric Square**:

- Realises game features in-engine with Unreal
- Works closely with the design and engineering team to help implement encounters with human and non-human AI
- Communicates with tech design and engineering for to be able to bring the highest quality combat encounters

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years of professional experience in mobile or console game development with at least one released project as a technical designer
- Hands-on experience with designer tools and proficient with commercial or proprietary game engines (like Unreal / Unity)
- Experienced with visual scripting (like UE Blueprints)
- Excellent bug diagnosis and debugging skills

**Skills**:

- Able to concisely articulate game concepts and analyse game mechanics
- Understand feedback and can make a plan to address it
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including with team members outside of the code team.
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively including planning, organising, and prioritising. Able to break down and structure tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Highly self-motivated with a positive mental attitude and pride in delivering quality
