The Cardiology team is welcoming an innovative Cardiology Consultant with an interest in developing and transforming the cardiology services at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. This role will be at Peterborough City Hospital.
As the rates of Cardiovascular Disease are increasing in our local communities, we identified a need for a Consultant Cardiologist specialised in Heart Failure and Cardiovascular CT.
You will be leading the cardiology team in delivering specialist Heart Failure and cardiac CT (Level 2 accreditation or above) services. You will work alongside and be supported by a team of 6 consultants, 4 locum consultants, and 5 radiology consultants involved in cardiac imaging.
We will encourage and support you to develop further your specialist interest by participating in clinical research, as well as to share your knowledge and experience in teaching medical students, trainee cardiologists, secondary care physicians, specialist nurses and general practitioners. In conducting your research, you will be supported by 2 Cardiology Research nurses and 2 admin staff.
We work collaboratively with the Royal Papworth Hospital, Royal Leicester Infirmary and St Bartholomew's Hospital, London. We also, run ACHD outreach clinics supported by Glenfield Hospital, Leicester.
You must have a full GMC registration and a CCT in Cardiology or within 6 months of the interview.
